Lost Souls: Found! Inspiring Stories about Pit Bulls, by Kyla Duffy and Lowrey Mumford (Happy Tails Books, 2012 (PB), 144 pages, $12.95)

This little book, just 144 pages long is long on pit bull rescue stories – 46-plus tales of rescued pit bulls from 11 rescue organizations.

What a Great Idea!

Kyla Duffy and Lowrey Mumford have a unique idea going – that of using real-life rescued pit bulls from several rescues to tell their stories. Duffy and Mumford’s Happy Tails Books was founded in 2009 to encourage adoption and raise money for pet rescue organizations. To date, they have donated more than $45,000 to their partner rescue organizations.
